Today isn't going so good, my group weren't impressed by my efforts for my speech package and told me I have to do it again, I was not best pleased, but decided to try again for their sake since they wanted a Distinction. In the end, both myself and Freddie were told to go out and make speech packages, mine being about favourite new bands/music again and Freddie's was about Festivals. Sophie wrote out a list of questions for us to ask, we got out a zoom and went around college once more. We went to reception and found barely anyone there, they weren't exactly willing to answer our questions and most of them found it suspicious that we were asking them to come along with us into an interview room where it was much quieter to ask them. In the end, we went along to the Loaf, found Beckie on the way there and she suggested about asking the BND 1st years to see if they would answer our questions. 3 of them actually came alogn with us! I was very relieved, it's a good thing that we're all friends. We went to the interview room and asked them our questions, they were really helpful, though sounded as though they were half-asleep, haha. After them, we interviewed one of Freddie's friends that I sometimes see hanging round reception. In the end, it took a long time and myself and Freddie, both decided to return to Sophie and edit our work. We returned and James swiftly began searching for our interviews, whilst Sophie was listening to some music for an idea of bed-music. We came up with a title for the show; "The 30 Minute Takeover" or "The Sophie Cullen Show". Sophie and James eventually left to go home, James was going to create the seven jingles Sophie requested, me and Freddie stayed and began recording our voices for the intro and outro of our speech packages along with the questions and choosing the bed music. We made our voices rather different, since we both agreed we have unenthusiastic voices-or so others tell us and we added a bit of our own quirkiness to it. It was a lot of fun. By the time we'd finished, it was time to go. So we both cleaned the room, freddie saved our work in a folder on the computer and onto his USB stick-since he said he'd finish editing it at home, I turned all the lights and computers off before leaving and then we left.
Tomorrow, Sophie said that we're going to be creating an advert together after college, sounds like it's going to be fun :)

Speech Package for Sophie's Show

Today I have been assigned to go out and make a speech package about favourite new bands and music. I could ask anyone I wanted and had to get 5-10 people the most, I interviewed 11. Of course they were rather brief, however, it was a real struggle to get people to come into an interview room and answer questions, most of the people I asked complained that they hated their voice and there was no way to persuade them. But I got it done in the end, I used a zoom to record the people I interviewed, I went around college and asked a range of people between [young and old], most of them were unsure of what song/artist/band they liked. It didn't take me long and I returned to Sophie, who told me to go down and edit them, so I went down to the edit suite and used Auditions to start editing them. Sophie said she'd come down about 10:30 but didn't show up even at 10:45 am, so I decided to go and take a break. It needs a little more editing, but hopefully it's what she's looking for.

It took me a little longer than planned, however, I finally got my presentation complete, I have printed off two copies-one of which can be passed around the class when I give my presentation and the other for me to hold in case I need to refresh my memory, this will also be handed in with my work. My presentation includes pie charts and secondary research from websites. I have also sent an e-mail to Beckie with my presentation in it, just to see if I've done it right. The presentation is about 20-30 slides-can't remember exactly how many there are, but I have tried to make my ideas sound interesting and different to others.

I have the research for James' show, I brought it to college with me because I haven't been in college a lot recently. Jame's told me to give it to Becky, Becky told me to give it to Jame's and so I shall give it to him when I see him next.
